One Ocean identifies the value of having industry regulators represented on the Board. The Canada-Newfoundland and Labrador Offshore Energy Regulator and Fisheries and Oceans Canada sit on the Board in the capacity of Official Observers. Other Official Observers include the Fisheries and Marine Institute and the Canadian Coast Guard.
The Board of Directors approves placements for Standing Invitees. Current Standing Invitees consist of the Industry Relations Representative, FFAW-Unifor.
The One Ocean Secretariat, consisting of the Chairperson and Managing Director, maintain a working knowledge of technical, environmental and operational activities of the fishing and petroleum industries and facilitate inter-industry understanding of these activities.
